UWRF SCHOLARSHIPS FOR FALL 2025 – SPRING 2026
MOST UWRF scholarship applications are now closed. Applications open in the fall for new and continuing students and most have a deadline of February 1, however Study Abroad and Graduate Counseling and School Psychology Scholarships have different application and award cycles. Please refer to scholarship descriptions for specific deadlines and requirements and consult the Office of International Education to learn more about deadline dates for Study Abroad.
APPLYING FOR UWRF SCHOLARSHIPS
There are two types of scholarships: Auto-Match and Apply-To.
- Complete the General Scholarship Application. You will be automatically applied to any Auto-Match scholarships if you qualify.
- Search for Apply-To scholarships under “Opportunities”. The system identifies Apply-To scholarships for which you may be qualified under “Recommended”. To search and review all scholarships, go to “Ours”. Apply-To scholarships showing a red “Apply” button require an extra item or essay. Review the scholarship description and requirements to ensure you’re qualified and click “Apply”.
Most applications are reviewed during the semester in which they are due, typically February through April, with most selections made by the end of April. Selected finalists are notified through their “@my.uwrf.edu” account when awarded a scholarship offer. This comes from scholarships@my.uwrf.edu. Finalists will need to accept their offer through the scholarship portal and complete post-acceptance, if required. For more information, please see UWRF Scholarships.
TIPS FOR SUCCESS
- Review Scholarship Requirements. Apply only if you are eligible.
- Complete the Application in Full. If a question does not apply, indicate as such.
- Review your Application. Along with proofing your own application, have someone else proofread for spelling and grammatical errors and provide feedback before you submit your application.
- Pay Attention to Deadlines. Don’t wait until the last minute to apply. Give yourself time to provide thoughtful and meaningful responses.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- Students must be admitted to UWRF and enrolled at least half-time to receive a scholarship during the semester it is scheduled to disburse. Currently enrolled UWRF students planning to graduate during the 2024-2025 academic year are not eligible to receive scholarships paid out during the 2025-2026 academic year.
- The Award column is an estimated award amount and not a guarantee of what you will receive if selected.
RECIPIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
- Scholarships that have a donor contact require a student recipient’s thank-you message to be completed via the scholarship portal for the scholarship to be applied to the student’s eSIS record. On behalf of the student, the University Advancement Office will print and mail the thank-you message to the donor contact.
- Scholarship recipients are invited to and expected to attend an annual Scholarship Recognition Event hosted by University Advancement during fall semester in the year the scholarship is received. This serves as a meaningful opportunity to meet and thank the donor/s who fund scholarships to benefit UWRF students.
